Consumer cards generally have a maximum value of $500 per card. Corporate purchased cards have values up to $10,000 per card.
Cards with a value greater than $2,500 have two purchase restrictions. The maximum value per purchase transaction or card “swipe” is $2,500. The maximum daily purchases limit is $5,000.
HELPFUL TIPS ON CARDS OVER $2,500 VALUE
- Merchants are often willing to run multiple transactions on your card allowing for instant purchase of up to $5,000.
- The “daily” purchase limit is based upon the date & time the merchant completes (or “settles”) the purchase transaction.
- Many merchants complete the “settlement” of a purchase the following business day.
